 PHOTOSHOOTS
Rules and Regulations

As a cosplay group, we will be having photoshoots!  There are many types of shoots that we can do! As a group, solo, with limited people, with outside cosplayers, with specific people. It can be themed, or random, or have a story to it.  We will also be doing shoots to make live action manga based on our original characters and characters from anime, games and manga!  There will also be some doujinshi shoots, though the doujinshi and yaoi/yuri shoots will have some restrictions.

Types of Photoshoots

Solo Shoots

Solo shoots are photoshoots that you have on your own, on your own time. They can be anywhere, in any cosplay, any time, with any pose you would like to do.

There are no restrictions except no material that is not suitable for eyes under 18.  Everyone should be able to view your cosplay solo shoots.

Limited Shoots

Limited shoots consist of a specific number of people, for example, enough people to fill up a certain cast or between specific people for a storyline. They can be done at any time at any location.

There are no restrictions except no material that is not suitable for eyes under 18. Everyone should be able to view your cosplay limited shoots.

Random Shoots

Random shoots consist of people from outside of the group, or at conventions or are completely unplanned in general. They can be planned or unplanned, and can be in any location for any cosplay.

There are no restrictions except no material that is not suitable for eyes under 18. Everyone should be able to view your cosplay random shoots.

Themed Shoots

Themed photoshoots cater to a specific theme (like holiday or specific series) or are themed according to a specific series. For example, a Vampire Knight photoshoot, an Axis Powers Hetalia shoot, etc.  They are usually planned, but can be unplanned as well.

There are no restrictions except no material that is not suitable for eyes under 18. Everyone should be able to view your cosplay themed shoots.

Storyline Shoots

Storyline shoots tell a story, and images are ordered in the way to explain the story. Often, dialogue can be added along with sound effects etc.  Storyline shoots can be whatever story you would like them to be and for any cosplay, original or not, you are not limited.  These shoots are usually planned out ahead of time and have a brief storyboard sometimes, but they do not have to be planned or have a story sketched out. There are no restrictions except no material that is not suitable for eyes under 18. Everyone should be able to view your cosplay storyline shoots.

Live Action Manga Shoots

These are shot like the storyline shoots, but they will be placed into manga page layouts and edited to be in the form of manga. LAMS will be more intricate than storyline shoots usually, and have more details, dialogue, and special effects and sound effects. LAM shoots do not require models to be in the same place at the same time because editing allows you to be placed into the story easily.  These shoots are preferably planned ahead of time, and images should be given to the current leader with detailed descriptions on how you want them to look and the storyline and other specifics such as dialogue, sound effects, graphics, backgrounds, etc.

There are a few restrictions including that content should be viewable by everyone. No one under the age of 18 should be restricted from viewing content.

If the material has violence, SLIGHT nudity, or inappropriate dialogue, please rate the material accordingly.

SADC will not be held responsible for any member who does not follow these guidelines, and members who are caught will be exempt from the group. Anything viewable for only 18+ should be done on your own time, and not involved in any way, shape or form with SADC.  Disclaimers should also be used, and no material will be sold for any profit.

You will use any disclaimers and give credit to original artists, publishers, and editors. Remember that anime, games, books, manga, etc are all copyrighted material. LAM shoots should be done for fan purposes and fun only, and not used for profit or other illegal activities.  Any member who is caught involved in this will be exempt from the group immediately. No exceptions, no matter how innocent the action was.

Doujinshi Shoots

Doujinshi shoots contain the most sexual content than any other shoot, and usually follow a short storyline. They can be yaoi/yuri or non yaoi/yuri and with any pairing.

Because doujinshi shoots will be LARP, there are restrictions involved and all content must be appropriate regardless the situation.  All doujinshi shoots should be
at MOST 17+. No 18+.  No inappropriate nudity is allowed for these shoots, and everything should be covered accordingly.  No member or non member should be forced into any shoot of any kind. NO MEANS NONo real act of sex should be involved in doujinshi shoots.

This is not intended to be pornographic material, but for the purpose of telling a romance or fan pairing more explicitly than a normal LAM shoot. Yaoi and Bishonen Ai is allowed, but nothing more than a male chest can be shown. Use sheets, clothing, pillows, bowls, fruit, leaves, or whatever you have to to cover all inappropriate areas properly. For details regarding appropriate and inappropriate body parts are described below.

Locations should be appropriate and in private if graphic material will be exposed.

Doujinshi should be shot for fun, creativity and fan purposes only, not for anything else.  These should be such as fanfictions.

LAM shoots should be done for fan purposes and fun only, and not used for profit or other illegal activities.  Any member who is caught involved in this will be exempt from the group immediately. No exceptions, no matter how innocent the action was.

Yaoi/Yuri Shoots

Involve scenes that include boy's love or girl's love.
Yaoi/Yuri shoots have same restrictions as Doujinshi, and should be followed accordingly.

Couples are not limited, so any pairing is fine.
Locations should be appropriate, and in private.

SADC will not be responsible for anyone who disregards these rules and that member will be exempt from the group permanently.

Appropriate and Inappropriate Content

Nudity

There should be no nudity what-so-ever!  This includes male and female privates, female chests and male and female buttocks. This could make both parties uncomfortable as well and especially readers.  LARP is MUCH different than drawings, and anything real will be considered adult, pornographic material. It should all be no more than PG-17, and everything should be rated accordingly.

Skin that can be shown include: head, hands, arms, upper chest (above breast area), legs, thighs, feet, back, and stomach (below breast area), and breast plate only if breasts are fully hidden. Males may show upper body.

The hips and buttocks and lower region must be appropriately covered.

Kissing scenes are allowed however, though the amount of graphic material must be rated accordinly.

Violence

Blood, guts and gore can be used, but everything must be rated accordingly along with reason why.

No real crime, or murder can take place in any way, shape, form or at any time.
Members who violate these rules will be immediately and permanently banned from SADC. SADC will not be responsible for anyone who violates these regulations.

Graphic Language

Any crude, rough, or sexual language must be rated accordingly. Some story-lines contain graphic language, but all of it must be rated. Anything containing more than 3 graphic words must be rated as 17+.

Questions about which words are appropriate or not should be asked to the current leader.

Graphic Symbols

Any symbols containing nudity are not allowed. Anything containing graphic words must be either edited for lower rating or rated accordingly.

Symbols include but not limited to; logos, signs, shirt logos, hand gestures, book covers, or posters.

If you have a question about what is and is not graphic, please ask the current leader.

Please note that SADC is not responsible for any member who engages in any inappropriate or illegal activity, and any member who does engage in any inappropriate or illegal activity, will be banned immediately. There will be no exceptions.  SADC is a group to represent cosplay and promote the wonderful hobby! We are not here to give cosplay or other cosplayers a bad image. Everything we do is for fun and our own entertainment as we promote cosplaying in a fun, safe and appropriate enviroment.

Members will follow all guidelines or will be exempt from the group and/or group activities.
